The shortage of affordable housing options in the Bay Area continues to be a major issue for recruiting and retaining faculty. This project will expand Stanford’s stock of available on-campus housing to meet this need. Two existing unoccupied homes, on two acres in the faculty subdivision, will be torn down and subdivided into nine lots. Seven single-family detached homes will be constructed, with two lots held in reserve for future development. The project scope also includes utility and street improvements to support the new homes.
- No unauthorized persons may enter the construction site without the authorization of contractors.
- Any Stanford visitor to the site needs to be accompanied by staff from the Department of Project Management.
- Hard hats, closed toe shoes, long pants and shirts with sleeves are required on the jobsite at all times.
