Arrillaga Tennis Center

Main content start

The Arrillaga Tennis Center is under construction on the site of the former tennis center and represents another component of the vision of the Department of Athletics to elevate the standards of varsity team facilities, replace aging structures, and revitalize the fan experience. The new center has been redesigned with a symmetrical arrangement of 12 courts with seating on both sides of a center spine to allow for a better viewing experience on multiple courts. When completed, the overall seating will accommodate 1,039 attendees.

Adjacent to the courts will be a two-story tennis pavilion providing locker space for home and visiting teams, support and coaches spaces, a conference room, and restrooms. A trellis over the second-level roof terrace will create a social gathering venue, space for guest support services, campus recreational support, and some concessions. The center’s design will be influenced by a contemporary architectural “kit-of-parts” blending the existing scale and palette of the surrounding DAPER facilities with new architectural components.
